SOURCING

You can roast a good bean bad, but you can’t roast a bad bean good. That’s why we are extremely picky about where our green coffees come from. We want you to love every coffee you buy from us. We work in a hybrid model where a portion of our coffees come from direct trade relationships with the farmers themselves and the others are sourced from the most respected importing companies in Specialty Coffee. This guarantees the farmers are being paid fair prices for their work. In addition to this we donate a part of our proceeds to help with projects at the farms like "Protect the Pickers" and the new childcare facility at Finca Zalmari in Costa Rica.

ROASTING

Roasting specialty coffee well is truly an art form and it can both reward you and humble you in the same day. We create individual profiles for each lot of coffee we buy to ensure we are highlighting the flavor attributes that are unique to that bean. We are proud to roast all of our coffees on Diedrich machines. Diedrich is manufactured in the USA and they are committed to creating environmentally friendly systems to reduce energy and emissions.

COMMUNITY 

As a small business we care about adding value to our community. We take pride in being a place for people to meet up with friends or to take some time to be alone. It’s especially cool when people get the opportunity to meet and connect with new people, because building a strong community is important to us. OUR FOUNDER

Amber Dietrich 

I didn't start drinking coffee until I was 25 years old. My mom was afraid it was never going to happen. Never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed my path would lead me to becoming a professional coffee roaster and opening Confident Coffee. Thank God it did. It has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my career. Spending my days creating and sharing this simple and yet complex thing with people like you has brought me so much happiness, and for that I am forever grateful.
